This is your chance to learn more about a topic of your choice through the Media Center's sources. You will learn to use the library's resources, both

print and electronic, to find sources for your research topic. You will evaluate the sources you find to determine their reliability. You will also learn to give credit to the sources you use.

Choose a topic, such as, basketball, school drama, books that my friends like, or dragons.


Create a brochure using Microsoft Publisher brochure wizard.


Your brochure must include the following for full credit:


  • A title

  • The author

  • The library call letters for the book (example, FIC DUB)

  • At least 10 book descriptions you may cut and paste from the Internet.  Try these sites:  perma-bound.com and amazon.com)--the books MUST be available in our Media Center.  Check the Media Center catalog for a list of titles we own.

  • A photo of the cover (try to find a photo of the same cover the book in our media center has) for each of the books

  • The ROAR reading level and point value for each of the books.
